Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi starrer film Baadshaho is making steady business at the box office. In fact, the movie did quite well on Monday too and added Rs 6.82 crore thus taking the total to Rs 50.12 crore. As per calculation, the film had done a business of Rs 43 crore over the weekend, which is a good record for sure.
The director of the film Milan Luthria did a superb job with his unique style of making the movie. The film is based on the emergency period of the 1970s. Audience liked Emraan Hashmi’s performance the most as he performed the classic role excellently.
The action sequences were beyond imagination and impressed the audiences to a great extent. The slow romantic music, Mere Rashke Qamar with sizzling chemistry between Ajay and Ileana too was a highlight.
This is Ileana’s third hit movie back to back at the box office and at the same time we can assume director Milan Luthria’s come-back to B-Town as well. In the year 2013, he had his last release and now he is in with Baadshaho.
This Friday, Baadshaho generated revenue of Rs 12 crore and during the weekend it went up to Rs 15 crore. The film has the same star cast of “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai” – the 2010 blockbuster.
According to a source, including publicity and advertising, the film was made with a budget of Rs 80 crore and as of now the film has already earned Rs 101 crore from other sources, which includes satellite rights, music and distribution section.
This shows that low budget movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Savdhan and now Baadshaho are doing great job at the box office where high budget movies are failing to do so.
