‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ Crosses Rs 200 Crore Mark in Seven Days

It seems that Salman Khan finally ended that long draught in Bollywood of blockbuster hits. Tiger Zinda Hai has crossed the 200cr mark in just seven days.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ jodi has again roared louder at the Bollywood box office as the movie became the highest grosser of Hindi cinema in 2017.

Salman Khan and Katrina starrer “Tiger Zinda Hai” has finally brought some much-needed cheer to the Bollywood Industry in a lacklustre year, by crossing the 150 crore mark since its release.

The movie, which got released on December 22 got an extended opening weekend. Ali Abbas Zafar has given good direction to the movie and it has minted Rs 151 crores in four days, according to its makers.

With a staggering opening day collection of Rs 34.10 crore, “Tiger Zinda Hai” had pulled the audience to theatres over the weekend and it earned around 35.30 crores and 45.53 crores on Saturday and Sunday.

Christmas became the highest grossing day for the movie and it crossed a 40 crore mark on that day. Movie experts are saying that the movie is crossing several benchmarks because of two reasons. The first reason is obviously Salman and the second one is the release timing. As the release timing crossed between Christmas and New Year, it gave a huge push to the movie.

Backed by Yash Raj Films, the film is the sequel to the Kabir Khan-directed “Ek Tha Tiger”. In the movie, Salman and Katrina together return on-screen after five years.

The movie was made on the budget of Rs 150 crore including all the expenses of advertising and publicity. “Tiger Zinda Hai” got released in 4,600 screens in India and 1000 screens abroad and it is doing really great.

Yet again, Salman Khan has proved why he is called the Dabangg of Bollywood. Though many people criticized the movie for its story and action and said that it is not worth watching, the numbers have shut their mouth and “Tiger Zinda Hai” is still rocking the silver screen.
